Blogroll: It’s Always Funny in Philadelpia

By Sean Collins

Everybody loves to laugh. However, during times like these, it is not easy to always keep a good sense of humor.  A blog that will keep you laughing is “It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia.” This blog contains jokes and  various video clips of comedians performing at local comedy clubs. It will even keep you up to date on the most recent news of comedy in the City of Brotherly Love.

Even if comedy is not something you are really into, the news offered from the posts on this blog is interesting to read. For example, one of their most recent posts is about former Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter appearing at the Helium Comedy Club’s open mic night. This just goes to show that almost  everybody can be funny.

The blog was started and is run and edited by Andrew Alexander. He is an accomplished writer, editor and comedian. The content is free and anyone with a good sense of humor is welcome to contribute.

What make this comedy blog stand out from others is its local roots as well as its sense of humor. Some of the pictures and videos presented on the blog are extremely funny. Other times it is more subtle, as demonstrated by  a few of the jokes in the articles. Either way, you are sure to enjoy some of what this blog has to offer. Also available is information on what comedians are available  to be seen while in town and polls on how funny followers consider them.

Another feature that really makes the blog stand out is that it is a real haven for local up and coming comedians. If you have a joke you think others will get a kick out of, post it here. If you want to try some virtual stand up, here is the place to post your video.

If you love comedy and would like to know what is going on locally, check out “It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia.” They’re also on Facebook. You won’t regret liking them.
