Words from Terri

I’ve been singing since the age of 5 years old; my first solo was in the kindergarden move up day. Singing makes me happy. It’s not just something that I do, but it’s who I am. Performing is something indescribable; it’s almost like when I’m up on stage, theres no one but me and a spotlight. Music can change people’s lives, I know it changed mine. Artistically, im inspired by so many artists. I listen to all genres of music, ranging from country to hip hop and R&B. Music to me is all about the lyrics. Words can touch the soul in such a way that I feel can never be be explained. Artists like Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, Adele, even Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey have all influenced me in my singing and performing. In the future I hope to get an bachelors or masters of music performance and/or music therapy. This way, I can work in social work and music with kids in hopes of changing their lives through music and performance as well.
