The men’s tennis team, has had the pleasure of having someone push them to do their best at getting a solid victory.
Carol White, assistant coach for the last two years, has showed so much passion for both her teams and the game of tennis.
“I enjoy the people, the campus and the players show so much support and are coach-able for me,” White said.
Carol has formed a strong bond with head coach, Stephen Parker, who coached with her in the past.
Prior to joining Cabrini athletics, White coached at the high school level for Central Bucks West high school in Doylestown, Pa. for both the jv and varsity teams. In her first five years she was the assistant coach until becoming the head coach, for 11 years.
“I was ready for the challenge and D-III is a total different experience and a smaller group of players, whereas high school the team was larger and a wider skill set,” White added.
While off the court, she works full time for Goldman Law Offices which is an accounting company in Bucks County, Pa.
White also works as a tennis trainer for the USTA initiative and has done that for many years.
Some of her players really love having her as a coach and showing support for them.
“Carol’s great, she’s really good at motivating us and keeping us focused during the match,” Mike Harberr, senior political science major, said. “It’s a good feeling having a coach who always has the skills to get her players to do their best.”
“Honestly she’s a really good coach especially if we aren’t playing our best,” Tyler Bond, junior history major, said. “She doesn’t get angry and tells us what we can do to achieve our point.”
