With the rest of the campus enjoying the many other Cabrini athletics hosting Family Weekend matches, the men’s and women’s cross country team was out competing in the Philadelphia Metro Classic.

The men’s team placed 12th of 14 teams while the women’s team placed 16th of 16 teams.

Don’t let those results fool you. The Cavaliers were competing with Division II schools in the meet.

The men’s team averaged a time of 38:38 and finished with a final team time of 3:13:06. The women’s team averaged a time of 29:07 with a total team time of 2:25:33.

In the team competition, Wilmington University and Philadelphia University took the men’s and women’s titles respectively. Both are Division II schools.

The Cavaliers next meet is in the Belmont Classic on Saturday, Sept. 29.
