Money.

The little paper object that brings happiness and joy to people, as well as stress and worry.

Money.

It is constantly on the mind, whether it is because we saw something in a store that we really want with a pricey price tag or because our cell phone bill came in the mail and the total was something not to our liking.

Money.

It is that one thing that could be the deciding factor for many of our career choices
.

Most people enjoy having a job that comes with a high money-making salary that provides them with satisfaction and comfort that they can afford the things in their life.

But is money all that matters when it comes to a job? Should we not go into a career that we enjoy and will not be miserable in? Why should money matter if our happiness is on the line?

The debate on whether or not money or job satisfaction is more important has been going on for years.

Some are all about the moneymaking. People see money as an aspect of survival. We n
eed money to live a good and happy life. But money is not always everything.

On the other side of things, job satisfaction is the most important. No matter what the job is and everything it entails, as long as the person is happy doing what they are doing everyday, that is all that really matters. Their happiness conquers money or other aspects of the job.

The majority of the millennial generation’s mindset is that we want to work for a purpose. We want to find fulfillment. We long to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Our generation wants to make sure we are working at the right place, in the right field and that we want to constantly grow until we reach the top. We always want to know what and when the next step is going to be. We want our visions to become reality.

Money is still really important. Everyone enjoys making a good sum of money and taking care of ourselves. We do not want to have that constant worry of day-to-day struggle. We have college loans and bills to pay. We have responsibilities outside of the workplace.  But we want a good balance of everything.

We want to have a good balance of work life, social life, home life and the money aspect of life. Happiness always comes with a price, but the most important thing to us is to keep life balanced.
