Living around the Philadelphia area is great for Eagles fans because, they can watch their team every week. However, that is not the same for other fans. Other NFL fans around this area have to do extra work in order to follow their favorite teams.

Luckily with the advancement of online streaming, fans can now just add their cable companies’ information to watch their favorite team anywhere in the world.

America’s Team?

“I always stay back on Sundays when my friends go to the Eagles tailgates. So, I get my peace and quiet by watching the Cowboys at home alone,” said Salaam Perry, a die-hard Cowboys fan.

Since Cabrini is a 20-45 minute drive to the Eagles stadium, a lot of the fans go to the tailgates every Sunday. Which means for the other fans, it is time to kick back and relax after a long week of classes and other assignments to do.

Perry became a Cowboys fan because his dad was a huge fan of the team during the Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith era. During that time period, the Cowboys would win three Super Bowls in four years marking the team as a dynasty.

Ever since the dynasty, the Cowboys have always been viewed as America’s team.

“The Cowboys are the biggest widespread team in America,” Perry said.

The Importance of Online Streaming

Besides a Cowboys fan, I came across a Jets fan who celebrated the Eagles parade down Broad Street and a Giants fan who is disgusted with his team.

Both fans came to an agreement that they both watch their teams on TV when they are on CBS or Fox. They also watch their games on their computer if the Giants and Jets are not being shown on TV.

Online Streaming has recently grown to the point where pretty much everyone lives streams on their computer. With YouTube, Hulu, Netflix and other companies, the days of watching TV are diminishing.

The Adobe report which examined over 1300 media and entertainment outlets, found and an increase of 146 percent of viewers on TV apps.

As technology is increasing year by year. The NFL games become easily accessible to watch and view anywhere around the world so there are no more excuses for non-Eagles fans to watch their teams play.
