“Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” reality TV star turned best selling author and fashion designer, Lauren Conrad also known as “LC” kicked off her second book tour on Tuesday, Oct. 16th at a Barnes 7 Noble in New York, NY.
It was the first stop of seven on the tour. Lauren is promoting her two newest books that were both released, Oct. 15, the day before the tour started. Lauren Conrad Beauty is an all you need to know guide to all things beauty. Conrad offers her expertise on skin care, make-up application, hairstyles, hair care, nail art and more.
She shares her personal stories on how she has grown in her style as a person. There is a photo section that shows off Conrad’s worst beauty choices to how she expresses and presents herself and her beauty now. Through the entire book she stresses the importance of being comfortable in your own skin and how beauty comes from within and the outer appearance is how we make ourselves feel good on the outside.
The second book she is promoting on this book tour is the second installment of her hit series “The Fame Game” titled “Starstruck.” The fame game series is about a girl who is a reality TV star and how her life is under the spotlight of reality TV.
I saw Lauren Conrad at the second stop on her book tour at Barnes & Noble at Oxford Valley in Fairless Hills, Pa on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7pm. There were over a 100 people in attendance to get their chance to meet Lauren Conrad, ask her a question and get their books signed. Books were on sale at the signing, however if you had one of Conrad’s other books such as Lauren Conrad Style, Fame Game or any of her L.A. Candy series books she was happy to sign them as well.
Each person interested in getting a book signed was given a wrist band with a number on it and then they were called in groups of 50 to get in line to go up individually to meet Lauren and get their books signed. Lauren stayed until every last person with a wristband got the chance to come up and meet her and have their book signed.
She was happy to answer any questions, however time didn’t allow for each person to have an individual picture with Conrad. At my chance Conrad greeted me, “I love your shirt girl!” she said. It happens that I was wearing one of the shirts from her collection. Conrad was polite and genuinely a nice person. I was very happy to meet her and excited to get her autograph and read her book.
