Michelle Obama recently released her new book titled “Becoming.” Besides being the first African American First Lady, she helped establish herself as a powerful advocate for women and girls in the U.S. and around the world.
Michelle Obama’s new book is about changing the ways of families, women, men and children on pursuing a healthier lifestyle. This book is a deep reflection of storytelling from her childhood to motherhood to becoming the First Lady.
“I did not buy the book yet but I would love to buy it,” sophomore education major Alexis Sharp said.
Sharp continued to say how she looks up to Michelle Obama and think that she is an amazing role model for our generation of women.
“Michelle Obama is one of the greatest advocates for women. She empowers us to speak our voice and allows us to be heard,” Sharp said.
Sharp continued to say how she felt that Michelle Obama cares a lot about the future of our country.
Julianna Pierce, a sophomore at Cabrini University, says that the book is very empowering and inspiring. “Michelle’s new book is very honest and inspirational,” Pierce said. Pierce said that the book helped her with her worries and realized that everything will work out.
“She talked about her accomplishments and family. My favorite part of the book was when she talked about balancing being a mother while living as the First Lady. It was very inspiring,” Pierce said.
“I did not read the book but it seems very genuine and honest,” Nicole Cassey said.
Cassey said that she did read a review on the book and it was a very good review that she would be interested in getting the book.
“I read the back of the book when I was Christmas shopping at Target just to see what it was about and the woman next to me said it was a very emotional inspiring book,” Cassey said about the book.
Michelle Obama has been inspiring men, women and families for years and this book just goes to show that. The book is now available everywhere in stores and is selling rapidly.
