The month of October anticipates a variety of movie releases, including horror, comedy and drama with a range of popular actors.

"Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning"

In October of 2003, New Line Cinema released "Texas Chainsaw Massacre,"a horror movie so mind blowing that it grossed 80,148,000 in the box offices and earned a spot as one of the top ten movies at the time. On Oct. 4, 2006, the prequel "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" hits movie theaters.

As the Internet Movie Database informs, a talented cast, including Jordana Brewster (from 2001's "The Fast and the Furious") and Taylor Handley (from various hit television shows including The OC, C.S.I. and Dawson's Creek) deliver a tantalizing performance as two teens embarking on a last trip before being shipped off to Vietnam. After an accident, the teens call a local sheriff and are taken to stay at an isolated, scary house where a "would-be killer"is being raised. This film is rated R for strong horror violence/gore,language and some sexual content.

"Saw III"

Tobin Bell ("Saw I & II" and appearances on 24 and The West Wing, among others) returns with Dina Meyer ("Saw I & II" and various other appearances), Shawnee Smith ("Saw I &II" and "The Island") and other actors new to the horror scene to provide audiences with yet another frightening story of a crazed serial killer looking to "teach" people he feels do not value life by various techniques of torture.

The Internet Movie Database reveals that Saw, which released October 29,2004, did not produce expected results by only grossing 55,153,403. Following on Oct. 28, 2005, Saw II attracted more viewers and grossed 87,025,093. With a release date of Oct. 27, 2006, "Saw III" will be the perfect Halloween thriller for viewers. This movie is rated R for strong grisly violence and gore, sequences of terror and torture, nudity and language.

"Employee of the Month"

Jessica Simpson ("The Dukes of Hazzard") is joined by Dane Cook, Dax Shephard (Punk'd) and Andy Dick ("Zoolander") in her second big screen movie, "Employee of the Month," set to release Oct. 6.
