Whites believe that they are being discriminated against

Discrimination has become a number one topic in today’s modern era, not only just with black people but white people, Native Americans, Mexicans and more.

The question that remains is who exactly is being discriminated against.

White people believe that they are facing discrimination when it comes to certain job titles being taking away from them.

An article from the National Public Radio made an observation as to why white people feel that are discriminated against.

It is said that the majority of whites believe they have faced discrimination at some point in their life over a job.

A lot of white people say that black people get it easy when comes to applying for a job while white people have to work much harder.

In my opinion, I believe it is first come first serve.

In today’s world, you have to have some type of tools, skills and a little bit of knowledge when it comes to searching for a career, especially if you want to work for a big company.

Some companies like to pick who they hire based on what the candidates bring to the table instead of choosing who looks better or according to the color of their skin.

Not only that, but they want a person who can fill the credentials.

However, the National Public Radio did a survey of how many whites believe this about discrimination.

A majority of whites, 55 percent, believe that they are discriminated against.

At least 84 percent say they are being discriminated against in favor of racial and ethnic minorities, despite the fact that whites are more financial stable and educationally than minority groups.

Even though the majority of white people say they are being discriminated against, other whites believe they are not.

Not only that, but white people who are either in the lower or moderate income bracket also questioned if it has to do with their income.

Some whites responded by saying that they had experienced this when applying for jobs, trying to get a raise or promotions or even signing up for college classes.

Either way, whites just feel as though they do not get enough opportunities and that it is not just people of other races that face discrimination.

My take is that everyone deserve the opportunity to be somewhere in life of whatever career path they choose.

Whether you are black, white, Asian, Mexican or whatever, race and discrimination should not be a factor to anybody ever.
