Sixty-four percent of U.S. adults start off ever day by waiting anxiously to take a lovely sip of that freshly brewed pot every morning before the day begins. Nearly two-thirds of Americans 18 years of age and older drink at least one cup of coffee day, according to Gallup.

This trend is especially present among millennials. Whether it is because of the beverage’s trendy status or its energizes purpose, coffee consumption among young adults is increasings. The daily consumption rate among individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 years-olds rose to 48 percent in 2016, according to Bloomberg.

There is a multitude of cafés and breweries that offer different, beautiful flavors to have in your hands,

Whether it is an espresso macchiato, latte macchiato, cappuccino, frappuccino, mocha, cold brew or a classic up of coffee.

Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts are always coming up with different brand methods to keep the customers coming, as well as Wawa. Local coffee shops also offer their own flavors.

Everyone has their own preference of what they like to put in their coffee. For instance, one person may just like black coffee instead of cream and sugar or hot coffee instead of iced coffee.

Though many students prefer coffee chains, coffee options are also available on campus in Jazzman’s.

“I prefer a mocha frappuccino with a lot of whipped cream and a lot of chocolate on top of the mocha,” Jabree Whitaker, a graduate graphic design student, said.

“[I go to] Starbucks. I usually go for an iced caramel macchiato with cream and sugar,” Ciara Saunders, a junior information sciences and technology and graphic design major, said.

“I usually go to Dunkin’ to get an iced coffee with cream and sugar; also a hint of caramel as well in my cup of coffee,” Amanda Mulhern, a sophomore social work major, said.
